I think it’s funny to be labeled a “Luddite” for not supporting a very specific use of ai. I see benefits to responsible ai, such as denoising, upscaling, NST (neural style transfer) for fx, smart editing tools (ie PS content aware fill), better cataloguing of repositories….

Been thinking on the use of GenAi for mood boards. Ethics and legal risks aside, I truly believe using GenAi as references deprives one of many pivotal things. Here’s a blurb on what I mean:

I recently came back from a vacation to Japan. While the jet lag has been tough, the biggest challenge has been readjusting to the shit we call food in the US. Theres absolutely no correlation between our food and for profit healthcare, right?

We need more $50-$30 million animated features. The right team can make it look like $100 million. More room to experiment, more variety for the audience.

I may be alone on this, but one of the biggest pet peeves I have is when superheroes have long arcs where they lose their powers. Superman 2 and Spider-Man 2 are exceptions for me, because it’s quick , story drive, and doesn’t feel like filler

If only there was an Image comics type revolution, but for animation.

Anyone have experience with dvi to DisplayPort adapters for cintiqs? I’m trying to share my cintiq between my Mac and pc via kvm. Everything works except for video. Anyone ever dealt with this or have any solutions?
