We ended up watching this televised Mousketeers Special from the 1970s on Disney+. Irrelevant of its quality, for some reason they left in all the original network broadcast ads -- Shake N' Bake, as a f'r instance. It was like watching an old VHS cassette. Truly vertiginous experience.

A funny thing you find, reading old Superman comics, is that it's Jax-Ur who is clearly intended to be Superman's primary nemesis among the Phantom Zone Villains. I don't usually hand out candy on Halloween -- I'm too lazy! But what I will do is dig a hole in the front yard, fill it with Brach's, let the little bastards grub for it. Sometimes you have to throw in some glass marbles and decorative soaps to slow 'em down, but I get a nice evening on the couch.

Heading to a costume party, thinking I might go as "myself," maybe get a t-shirt that says "This IS my costume," I dunno, I don't want it to be over people's heads.
