Found a box of old comics the other day that included a complete run of Belasco appearances. I'm sure other people have those same issues in their collections, but I have got to be the one guy in the world who troubled his own ass to put together "The Belasco Arc" and that made me feel very alone.

Oh, hey, required reading!

According to my notes, it's been eighteen years since I'd read Top Ten, which is probably why I only noticed on this weekend's reread that this book may be more prescient of the present political reality than V For Vendetta.

My most recent act of optimism was pre-ordering a book from a troubled publisher that's scheduled to be shipped in January, providing they're still in business, and also assuming that we still have a post office by then, or at least one that doesn't mark every book as obscene material. ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

I haven't drawn anything in four months. Before that, it was nearly a year. Every time I start drawing, almost immediately, I swear I feel an electrical short in my brain and immediately lose all interest. A nearly audible "TZAPP" and the sketchbook gets closed. Genuinely beginning to get worried.

This is so good. So clean. Amazing visual storytelling. It could work without dialogue, but the lettering creates the foundation for the delivery. His word balloon being higher than hers, and his head lower than hers creates a wedge that leads you right to her deflated expression. Solid.
