Laskovyi Mai (meaning “Tender May”) was a Soviet boy band from Orenburg founded by composer Sergei Kuznetsov. With Yuri Shatunov as lead singer, they became a pop phenomenon of the late 1980s.

Soviet space dogs Otvazhnaya (Brave) and Malyok (Tiny) that travelled to space on June 15, 1960 and safely returned home. In total, Otvazhnaya did 6 space trips between 1958 and 1960.
