Extremely this. Like I have an overactive threat response that's very hard to control in the moment due to trauma and even most regular people will be overtaken by survival instincts when approached by a gaggle of hostile and notoriously violent men. It's part of what makes protesting so scary.

I see a lot of people trying to plant a hypocrisy charge about the ICE situation. But everyone needs to be very mindful of the fact that law enforcement officers DO, in fact, think they have special rights above and beyond the rest of us allowing them (only them) to murder us if they feel threatened
