Since I seem to keep doing these, making a master thread to keep as my Pinned post with all my "these are my Commander decks" threads I have done... mostly so I can keep track of them, especially as I am considering new builds with some recent Commanders from Aetherdrift.

I can't even fathom what January will look like, except probably very bad for the Trump regime. Absent a major black swan event, I don't see a path to power consolidation for them at this point. For a number of reasons, not just Epstein. (Thread)

To recap: Jeffrey Epstein offered a NY Times reporter photos taken in Epstein's kitchen of Donald Trump and girls in bikinis *and* implored the NYT reporter to put this information in the public discourse in 2015 What did the NY Times editors know about this offer?

The Kremlin disguised a nearly $100 mn payment to Trump in the form of a brokered real estate deal... and both Jeffrey Epstein and William Pulte were involved in the deal. That's very interesting.

What’s the difference between compromise and capitulation? Compromise trades concessions. Capitulation pays ransom to stop deliberate suffering, and teaches your opponent that coercion works. There are effective responses to coercive bargaining. What we saw was not one of them.

Essentially nobody on the D side thinks the actions of the 8 "bipartisaners" were anything but wrong, indeed stupid. But now - as the Trump Regime and its captive party are badly stumbling - is not the time to encourage a fracture in the opposition, and a descent into openly warring cohorts. 1/

Haven't updated this deck in over a year, so there are lots of changes - it is now surprisingly landfall themed, and some of the cuter +1/+1 counter themes from Cytoplast Root-Kin and Renegade Krasis have been cut as too cute and ineffective.

Is the shutdown over? Not yet. Last night's vote was only step 1 of 5. There’s still another 60-vote hurdle, amendments, and then the House. Nothing has reopened. Pressure matters right now, especially on:

One way to think about the Mamdani campaign is that 14 years ago Mayor Bloomberg and Gov Cuomo worked to crush Occupy Wall Street - a social movement gesturing at what working class politics might look like in a country with a marginalized & disorganized left. Today, Cuomo and Bloomberg will lose.

Forgot today was Wednesday and thus we were watching for this number at 2pm. I expected the economic data was softening and we might see no change; was *worried" that Trump sycophancy might be taking the lead and we'd see a 0.5% cut instead. Trump's lackey had "forecast" 1.25% cuts by year's end.
