It has become painfully obvious that the future is renewable 💚energy. Time to ditch oil & gas. Actually -very soon the rich oil barons won't be able to get it out of the ground. This war was started by dumbass Drumpf, smart people are going to need to stop this stupid war -WITHOUT BOMBS❗

PSA: Feeling depressed about the state of the world right now is a natural and sane response. It is an indicator of a healthy, functioning sense of compassion and empathy. Our nervous systems are not designed to endure constant trauma. You don't have to pretend everything is okay. It's not.

Here’s the thing: Cuba has been making concessions. Opening parts of the economy, talking to US businesses, and even shifting policies that had been untouchable for decades. Did it matter? Nope. Washington basically said, “Not enough.” That tells you the goal isn’t reform. It’s full control.

There are at least three major news stories about sexual assault and abuse of power by men in prominent positions this week. Government, labor, academia; the culture is everywhere, and women disproportionally bear the weight of the consequences. If this week feels extra heavy, be kind to yourself.

I've interviewed more than a dozen hydrologists and climatologists across the West the past 10 days. A sense of panic is starting to set in. Wildfires and water shortages will start mounting this summer. Adverse impacts are expected from not only this heat wave, but the historically warm winter.

Spain's renewables build-out has structurally decoupled its electricity prices from gas markets. Gas now sets the price in only 15% of hours, compared to 90% in Italy. Countries that invested early in clean power are far less exposed to fossil fuel price shocks. Those that didn't now pay the price.
