Not not honey, I'm busy writing a letter to The Times about how Timmy the dog shouldn't be considered part of the group of child vigilantes and The Famous Four need to grow the fuck up and start dealing with reality.

This list is: a) deranged, and b) a nice excuse to dust off my own, which isn’t much better but is a lot more honest about the quality of what it’s asking you to watch

Joining the boycott so Eurovision for me tonight which is sad but does mean I'll be going to church tomorrow without a crippling hangover or a maddeningly awful eurodance anthem stuck in my head.

I'd never really looked closely at Wes Streeting before and he looks like he's just finished sloughing off the skin of the host body he was gestating inside.

The older I get the more I love comics. I think it's because as I become more aware of my own mortality I appreciate the sheer denseness of the medium. You can get a novel into the space associated with a short story through the wonderful alchemy of words and pictures.

If Streeting becomes PM we in the queer community will need to come up with a new slur to call him so we don't have to refer to him as gay and thereby taint the rest of the gay community by association.

Book online for convenience they said. 15 minutes involving setting up a new account, retrieving multiple different codes from both email and mobile and navigating a booking form I would describe as acutely hostile to the very idea of appointments. There is so much cognitive friction now.

Well, the left hate him because he's the figurehead of a multi-year effort to excise them from democratic representation, the right hate him because they think he's a Muslim communist and everyone else was pretty disengaged already and he ran on change then didn't change much. That about cover it?

You know what's amazing? I genuinely don't know what Keir Starmer sounds like because I get all my news from text sources. I noticed it a while ago and since then it's been a fun game of deliberately avoiding ever listening to him speak. For all I know he sounds like Beaker from the Muppets.

Interesting. I think the difficulty for Streeting here, in purely political terms, is that he’s an obvious cunt

Doing a day drinking today and, being in my late 40s, I have planned it like a military campaign. Been to the gym, good solid lunch with lots of vitamins and starch, well hydrated, takeaway options locked in for later. Maybe I won't die.
