VERY IMPORTANT IDEA: the next academic conference I attend should have a "tea exchange" where we all just bring a bunch of our favorite tea, try each others, and then everyone leaves with some new tea that they liked. This is unironically a 10/10 networking idea and I'm not too humble to admit it.

I have to say, it's so much easier already to teach with our school's no cell phone policy. Phones, earbuds, and watches go in a Yondr pouch. The kids are talking to each other a lot more. They use their down time wisely, & they use the 5 last minutes to be on task or to catch up with friends.
