This addresses one of the big problems of the American news environment: 90% of the time someone says, "Democrats should do X", Democrats already did! The news just didn't tell anyone about it!

A new study, based on a survey of 1,150 workers suggests that the injection of AI tools into the workplace has not resulted in a magic productivity boom and instead increased the amount of time that workers say they spend fixing low-quality AI-generated âwork.â đ

AI âWorkslopâ Is Killing Productivity and Making Workers Miserable
AI slop is taking over workplaces. Workers said that they thought of their colleagues who filed low-quality AI work as "less creative, capable, and reliable than they did before receiving the output."

calling autism a âtragedyâ and saying that there should be fewer autistic people are eugenicist talking points. Everyone who opposes such views also needs to recognize the ways in which everyday ableism left the door wide open for a person like RFK Jr.

not getting much attention, but it's a big election in 6 weeks: Mainers will decide a conservative proposal that'd add restrictions to voting, especially mail voting. (If it's approved, it'd be in place by the 2026 midterms and the high-stakes Senate race.)

I do think itâs conspicuous that no real public conversation has emerged over the reality that the rise of AI means that women and girls no longer have a choice about whether their image is made into porn; that this is now a cost of entry for their participation in public life.

I really do think we need to see the rape and abuse of women and children as not like a peculiar indulgence or hypocrisy of the right, but as a foundational practice from which their worldview proceeds. Rape is the metaphor from which they draw their other conclusions about domination and hierarchy.

The Supreme Court could say the presidentâs allegedly illegal actions must be put on hold while the Court reviews it. Instead, they repeatedly say Trumpâs abuses must be allowed to go forward while in dispute. Thatâs entirely a choice. Thereâs no basis in law. Made the opposite call with Biden.
