What's wild is that the political fights over likely removing parking on H Street and Benning Road to build out the Gold Line could well have been waged more than a decade ago when the streetcar was built, which could have helped make the streetcar more successful than it was.

I support more buses, generally. But unless the connection to the Red Line is seamless, the capacity is high, and the frequency is rapid, it’s hard to see meaningful numbers of fans disembarking at Union Station to take a bus to the stadium.

good lordt do i love buses. it is my preference to ride a bus rather than walk to the train. buses, however, do not anchor neighborhoods.

but an infill station will cost a billion with a b (no you can't see the analysis) and it won't do anything to move anybody faster on a game day, so we can't have it. nvm that the only barely remediating factor of this whole thing, the residential dev, will not be anywhere near a metro station.
