After Saturday’s marathon 12 bands I only managed 5 yesterday at Rockaway Beach, think I hit the wall but still a good day. Very impressed with Brighton shoegazers Swallowtail, liked the old punks The Members, BLACKGOLD brought the energy and circle pit, finished with Inspiral Carpets who were fun.

Great day at Rockaway Beach yesterday. A total of 12 bands seen (some for not very long), a silent disco, watching some of the darts final and finishing off with late night test match viewing. The early afternoon shoegaze was a highlight, with Winter Gardens and Whitelands. Then GANS and PIL.

I was a bit knackered for the first day at Rockaway Beach after 5 hours sleep no caffeine and a 7 hour drive, so sat at back with my brother and bailed before Antony Szmierek unfortunately. However loved Mandrake Handshake and Ellis-D (a late replacement), and also enjoyed Y and Prima Queen. #RB26

Up early for the traditional Xmas Eve big shop. Will it work as planned or will there be a vital item out of stock? The annual conundrum, although I’m fairly relaxed. Tired but chill.

I forgot to baste after 3 hours, having tea with the family, so almost 2 hours from 2nd to 3rd baste. Then tinfoil off and a final 30-40 mins and it’s ready! Had a couple of sneaky pieces and tastes good 😋 #LatimerXmasHam

Today is the cooking of the Xmas ham, using a tried and tested long standing recipe … involving a bottle of cola and anything sweet or mustardy we can find in the cupboard. I’ll be basting it regularly so expect updates. #LatimerXmasHam
