When AT&T Fiber raised its monthly price to $90 for the 1-gigabit-per-second service I was using,I decided to see what it would feel like to cut that speed in half, saving $180 a year in the process. Would I even notice? The TL;DR: No! But I got a surprise: My gig speeds didn't go away! Kind of.
