is there a reason why ttrpg publishers don't use normal book paper for publishing (other than art and experimental layout). is it because printers are only equipped for books of a specific number or pages or because, like, those guys only work with specific publishing houses and not indies

I want shorter ttrpgs with simpler page designs made by me who are paid more to work less and oh my god it can't be that all so-called layout jobs last for months it's truly haunting
