This Robert and the Toymaker film is appalling. The lack of attention to detail is woeful. At one point a Nazi officer in an interrogation room, opens a desk drawer, clearly showing it to be a 1950s English desk made by Abbess. Those desks only had one stamped drawer. They could have opened another.

So yesterday I watched the Curse of Robert the Doll. It was pretty bad. And the film didn't line up with the synopsis on Wikipedia, which I thought was odd. Now I'm watching the Revenge of Robert the Doll. It's if anything worse. It's just full of people in ill-fitting uniforms shooting one...

I've just watched "The Old Ways", as part of my horror film October. It's twenty minutes of top quality entertainment spread thinly over an hour and a half, but I did like their arrangement of La Bamba.

I've just watched #TheDisappointmentsRoom on Netflix and thought it was pretty good. It's got lots of nods to the Shining, and sometimes I found them a little distracting, but overall they deployed all the tropes in an appropriate manner. I'd say what I liked but I might spoil it.
