Nice to hear Wes Streeting say how trans people are worse off now than 10 years. But don't think that means he cares. If trans rights seem popular he will be waving a flag around saying trans women are women etc. If they seem unpopular, then we get what we have had. He has no principles. 1/3

The best part of this is @zackpolanski.bsky.social is consistent with his messaging. Doesn't matter whether it's a heavily edited video or him just talking on front of a camera. It's the same message everytime and he's right.

This is thinly disguised homophobia by Farage. The same far-right figures who have spent years coming for my trans friends & colleagues are emboldened again against anything different from their "normal." Today and everyday I stand with the whole LGBTQIA+ community. Your struggle is my struggle.

The thing is. The politicians know. The right wingers know. It's the reason why when there is a shooting they instantly blame trans people. Not because trans people are more likely in general. But because they are waiting for the point when a trans person has been pushed too far.

So to talk about something else. I managed to join a gym and started swimming. I've been in my own head badly last few months and wow has it made me feel much better. I was incredibly nervous since it had been 10 years since I last went to a gym. But now I'm just excited to go back!

At what point do MPs look at this and finally say "are we on the wrong side". They have all the data that shows that trans people are not the problem but are still going down this route hoping that beating us bloody will appease some flag shaggers from voting for reform.

I keep writing to my MP. It's hard for it not to feel a waste of time. All I ever seem to get is "I'm watching and listening". Have faith in me but I won't say or actively do anything. I won't stop trying, but I'm tired. I'm sure if it was affecting her then she won't be watching and listening.

If reports of the EHRC guidance are correct, it is not compatible with trans people's human rights. It would usher in a system of segregation, policed via threats of legal action by those with money to burn. Trans people, as well as people who are not trans, face harassment.

Keir Starmer has appointed as his new Comms Director Tim Allan who was a board member of the hate group Sex Matters. It's no longer even pretending to adhere to its Manifesto promise to "remove indignities for trans people who deserve recognition and acceptance."

Forthcoming statutory guidance could have a profound impact on trans people's lives. I've written to the Women and Equalities Minister to urge her to reject anything that undermines trans people's rights, inclusion, privacy or safety, and for Parliament to have proper oversight.

So many of us have been through some or all of this, some are starting it now. It is honestly so draining to be told by people who dont know you or anything about you, how to live. When you follow the rules, you're still wrong...

Oh shoutout to Berg Katse for the help on some positions I was unsure on. Between this, the @lgbtiqagreens.bsky.social breakdown and docs.google.com/document/d/1... it did help. Most of my votes aligned with theirs with some small changes in positions such as deputy leader.

And done. Some were tough to decide, others were as easy as the leadership. I hope the candidates that make it through will create a strong, competitive and fair party for all in every aspect of life.

I wish people would spend less time making shit up. I spent so much of my energy yesterday trying to debunk various bits of disinformation. As a community, we cannot afford this right now. The stakes are too high. We have to be better.

I really am struggling with who to vote for deputy leader. I've been leading towards @rachelmillward.bsky.social and @frankadlingtons.bsky.social While greens do align with other beliefs, realistically I want someone who can grow the party but also fight for trans rights whole heartily. 1/3

They definitely have an opt out for smear tests. One document says opt out with a tick box. One of the options is does not have a cervix. This also isn't new. I saw this 8 years ago. It'd be simpler to have a tick box of individual needs than a blanket list. But anything against trans people....
