We've just heard the brilliant @rebeccajones03.bsky.social proposing our amendment on women's safety in hospitality!

A huge well done to Rebecca for her work on this, and thank you for JPAC to listening to her concerns. While the NHS is complaining of blood donation shortages, it should not be inventing barriers for LGBT+ folks who are willing to donate.

BREAKING NEWS: I am thrilled to be able to report that after a discussion with JPAC, JPAC has agreed to update it's position statement to make it clear that trans people haemoglobin levels should be tested against their hormonal levels, not their Sex at Birth. 1/7

The 404 responses to 'call for input on incorrect guidance on single-sex spaces' shows that most policies were fine! Yet the EHRC and trans-hostile media are spinning 19 orgs as evidence of lawbreaking of INTERIM guidance, in order to scare institutions to adopt transphobic EHRC policies! 😖

They decided to try and call me and still ask me to donate blood. I've told them I don't feel safe donating currently, and as such I don't want them to contact me until they change their policies.

So I decided to do some digging on this and actually contact NHS Blood and Transplant about this. The results? Unsurprisingly appalling. 🧵

Important thread for trans women donating blood in the UK. Just had a very apologetic phone call from a member of the clinical team at NHS Blood and Transplant to discuss my complaint from last week when I was not allowed to donate blood.

The Liberal Democrats’ foreign affairs team have written to the Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary, urging them to take the vital step of formally recognising a state of Palestine.

I am increasingly disappointed that the concerns of the #LGBTQ+ community over what the Supreme Court judgement means for them are not yet being addressed. I have written to the Government asking them to make clear how trans and non binary rights will be protected.

The idea that trans kids arent real is perhaps one of the most harmful narratives there is Yes they do. I was one. I first started feeling gender dysphoria in pre-school and hid it for over a decade until I started to come out at 15 Trans kids exist, and they deserve healthcare
