Trump’s illegal grab for oil show him as the impulsive gangster we knew he was, distracting from links with Epstein, and domestic woes. Maduro was an illegitimate dictator, but Trump has shown that he will stop at nothing to protect his own interests ahead of safety and stability around the world.

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts. Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

Keir Starmer should condemn Trump’s illegal action in Venezuela. Maduro is a brutal and illegitimate dictator, but unlawful attacks like this make us all less safe. Trump is giving a green light to the likes of Putin and Xi to attack other countries with impunity.

Another reminder - Sutton Council offers a free Christmas Tree collection service! Put out your tree by 6am from Tuesday 30th December, close to the front boundary of your property, or by your bin store if you live in a flat block, and it will be collected within a four week period.

I popped up to Nationwide in Worcester Park earlier this month to hear more about the work they're doing to support vulnerable people with their finances, and their commitment to keep physical stores on high streets. Great to see!

Tackling illegal e-bikes on Sutton High St is an issue that comes up again and again on the doorstep in our area. I've been lobbying for more action. So it was great to join the local police as they took enforcement action this week to get these dangerous bikes off the street.
