At our Planning & Infrastructure Bill roundtable yesterday, MPs & Peers heard how recent government amendments are a positive step for nature. But more can be done to protect species while meeting housing targets. Clearer rules can also speed up development and cut costs for business.

At our planning roundtable last Wednesday, chaired by @andrewpakes.bsky.social, we heard from experts Charlotte Mitchell, Sarah Mukherjee and Richard Clewer about how to deliver clean energy while ensuring nature protection and stronger community engagement in the planning process.

A warm home shouldn't be a luxury - but sadly this has become the norm due to spiralling energy costs. We can't ignore this crisis. That’s why I brought the issue directly to the government last week with a debate on the cost of energy. It's time we make energy affordable & sustainable for all.
