10% of marine species are at risk of extinction due to overfishing, pollution and climate change. We must do more to protect our oceans. The High Seas Treaty becoming international law is a vital step. I urge the UK Government to ratify this treaty as quickly as possible.

A green, sustainable future is only possible when we work together. That’s why it was great to discuss UK-EU collaboration at the @libdems.org.uk Conference, and how together we can better protect our environment and planet for future generations.

I am appalled by the Office for Students' findings. Thousands of students have faced rape, assault and sexual harassment — and many failed when they sought help. This is a national scandal. We need mandatory consent education, proper support for survivors, and an end to the culture of silence.

Chewing 1 piece of gum can release 250,000 microplastic into your body. Young people are the biggest consumers of gum and most at risk- they deserve to know what they’re chewing. I’ll keep pushing to force gum makers to clearly label their plastic ingredients and better protect young people.

Our broken SEND system is failing children - these families deserve better. The Government needs to urgently clarify their plans for reform to give SEND families the certainty they need. Any changes must protect children’s rights to support, not roll them back.

In Parliament, I highlighted the incredible work Bath charity VOICES do supporting domestic abuse survivors. They've co-created a Family Court Guide to help them navigate the system, especially without legal representation. I look forward to meeting with the Minister to discuss this further.

Visiting Luthmore’s factory, I was impressed by their bold vision to decarbonise heating. Their zero-emission boiler is an affordable & accessible alternative to gas boilers and heat pumps. The government must support British businesses, like Luthmore, to make the UK a clean energy superpower.

By appointing Mandelson as US Ambassador, this Government has made its values crystal clear. Turning a blind eye to his close relationship with abuser Epstein is indefensible. What Prime Minister would prioritise cosying up to Donald Trump over protecting victims of sexual abuse?

This unprecedented escalation shows Russia remains determined to conquer Ukraine and test the West's resolve to stand up to him. The government urgently needs to show that the UK stands by our NATO and Ukrainian allies by seizing frozen Russian assets and implementing new sanctions on oil and gas.
