Great to visit Diane, the Cosmos Centre team and Fife Council colleagues at the Cosmos Community Centre today. A fantastic centre which provides a safe, welcoming space for people to learn, connect socially and get the support they need.

Great to meet with The Textile Services Association - really interesting meeting about the UK commercial laundry & textile services sector, an essential but often unseen industry that underpins key parts of the economy, including the NHS, social care, hospitality, food production & pharmaceuticals.

I raised the Government’s failure to release the full files on Andrew Mountbatten‑Windsor’s appointment as Trade Envoy. I pressed the Minister on when the remaining papers will be released and whether safeguards will finally be put in place for future appointments.

Today I raised Dr Antonis Vradis, a much‑loved University of St Andrews academic and one of several British citizens detained in international waters by Israeli authorities. I also reiterated the urgent need to reopen aid routes into Gaza under UN oversight.

With 15,000 people living with arthritis in North East Fife, I’m supporting @arthritisuk.bsky.social in arthritis awareness month to promote the importance of early diagnosis – otherwise it can leave patients in pain for longer, increase NHS costs and hurt the economy.

It is shocking that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was made a trade envoy with no vetting. Nobody should be above basic standards. The government must commit to mandatory vetting for future roles. The survivors of Jeffrey Epstein deserve a full public inquiry into his UK links.

Today I raised the need for closer UK‑EU ties & a customs union to start repairing the economic damage caused since Brexit. While others can’t seem to make up their minds, Liberal Democrats are clear: a customs union is the most practical first step & we’ll keep pushing for it every chance we get.

Today I raised the reality of fuel costs in North East Fife. For rural constituencies where driving is essential, we need meaningful support, from fairer fuel policies to better EV charging access.

Many local businesses back a VAT cut, but with no movement from the Government, I pressed the government for a consultation on a lower NICs band for part‑time workers - a change that would help hospitality employers and open up more opportunities for young people.

I know that the ongoing fire at the Ladybank Waste Facility is causing major concern for residents. I have written to Fife Council to get clarity on the issues being raised to me and have also written to SEPA about air quality and Cireco about what measures are in place to ensure safety at the site.

Cupar has been left with only one building society and no remaining bank branches, despite serving a large rural population and acting as a key service centre for surrounding communities. That is why I presented a petition signed by 585 residents calling for a banking hub. Read more: buff.ly/yEsscAh

Yesterday I presented a petition in Parliament calling for Government support for a banking hub in Cupar. With almost 600 signatures, this petition shows the strength of feeling across the community about the loss of banking services - I hope LINK take this on board as they consider my application.

I would like to congratulate the young people in North East Fife for starting their @DofE.org Award. A record-breaking number of young people – 589,237 – took part in a DofE last year, contributing over 6 million volunteering hours to communities across the UK. #YouthWithoutLimits

I challenged the Government on the continued chaos at Westminster. Despite promises of stability, we’re facing a Prime Minister who has lost authority and a policy agenda offering little real change.

A lovely afternoon on Saturday at the grand reopening of Craigrothie Village Hall. After 15 months of hard work, fundraising and community effort, it was fantastic to see the hall officially re-opened by the Lord‑Lieutenant of Fife and filled with music and people once again.

Great to attend the Linked Together Dementia Friendly Golf event today in Craigtoun. This six‑week pilot is running to encourage golfers to keep enjoying the game after diagnosis, and it was inspiring to see it in action.

Under Ofgem’s new Guaranteed Standards for smart meters, customers can now receive £40 in compensation if their supplier doesn’t resolve reported smart‑meter issues promptly.
