It was a joy to catch up with Faustina Yang this week ❤️🙏 Faustina has just been awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by Peterborough City Council for her contribution to so many community causes. Brilliant to catch up, chat, talk Tai Chi and plan how we are going to work together this year.

I hosted the first of my New Year community Pride in Place meetings on the Welland this weekend. It is brilliant to be working with residents across Paston, Gunthorpe and Dogsthorpe to share ideas about how we should use the £20 million Pride in Place investment in the area over the next ten years.

I ended my first week back for the New Year with some of the team at Peterborough Foodbank. I am really pleased that the government has agreed to lift the two child benefit cap. This will help nearly 10,000 children across city. No child should have to go to bed cold or hungry.

I am passionate about apprenticeships. So it was good to meet Waitrose staff in Peterborough to learn more about their training and apprenticeship opportunities. As well as learning more about their brilliant work supporting local charities.
