If you're blaming the Democrats for the shutdown of a government that is run entirely by Republicans, why stop there? Go wild, man. Blame the shutdown on leprechauns, or the Seattle Mariners, or maybe the cast of "She's the Sheriff." You've decided facts don't matter, so have some fun with it!

thinks now is the best time for a bipartisan censorship bill that will let MAGA define what content is allowed on the internet. WTF?

Just going to re-up this. Bullies want people to be under their control, so they can hurt them for fun. Bullies fear real conflict, because real conflict is by definition NOT under their control. Real conflict raises the prospect of them losing, and they are cowards. You beat MAGA by fighting it.

A lot of people think that every international student admitted means one fewer spot for domestic students, when the opposite is more likely true - the tuition revenue international students bring allows public universities to provide substantial discounts to domestic students, improving access.

working up "democrats must embrace war mindset" rn, but one of my beliefs is this: dooming is itself a reaction to the fear of responsibility. if all is lost and nothing matters then you can't be criticized for your choices. it's not "cold eyed reason." it's an easy escape. comforting
