As we all know, most people's only safe bike route is not the same as the multitude of car routes that can be taken.

Towns with reliable & frequent transit are magical! They are places where you can visit or live without the stress of having to have a car. Where you can be perfectly engaged in your environment, seeing, hearing, touching & smelling your way without having to focus only on what's ahead of you.

So it turns out... the US air travel system was incredibly, deeply dependent on federal funding to just run day-to-day all this time, to the benefit of private airline shareholders, when everyone thinks that state-run trains are leeching off the government. Weird!

Woah, 71st Street got a road diet and protected bike lanes from Cottage Grove to Dorchester! The terrifying drag strip along the southern edge of Oak Woods Cemetery is no more. This is so awesome!

If we want to reach our Vision Zero and mode shift goals we need to have a traffic control dept that actually… does their jobs. I’ve experienced this same issue with many reports I’ve made. We need to do better @minneapolismn.gov .

I think we should make it legal and easy to build starter homes like townhouses and condominium apartments in more places so people can get on the homeownership ladder affordable without having to sign up for 50 year loans they’ll probably never pay off.

Incredibly frustrating to have multiple cars parked in the bike lane on 38th - report them - see the agent come out - and watch as they close the case without talking to a single person or ticketing anyone. There is zero accountability for drivers in Minneapolis, I swear man.

Every few months a car hits this concrete barrier at 109 st and 100 Ave in #YEG hard enough to move it into the bike lane. About 50% of cars ignore the "no right on red" sign and in 8 months I've almost been hit at least 5 times. This is why paint is never enough. #yegBike

the crossing i use the most doesn’t have a beg button, takes two minutes to change and gives me about 6 seconds to cross 6 lanes. a lot of the time not enough drivers stop at the red and i get stuck in the divide. 4 minutes to cross the road to do the shopping

Because we're not sitting in climate controlled mobile living rooms. I also don't want to be standing near the edge of the road next to 40+ mph cars longer than I have to. Especially with the number of drivers staring at their phones.

Unless there's an unbreakably valid safety reason why not, all button-operated pedestrian crossings should activate the lights in pedestrians' favour instantly when pressed.

My 13 year old and 10 year old have started doing a lot more roaming about the city with their friends. Personally I think we should make it as safe (and fun) as possible for them and other kids to bike, walk, and bus about town. Why hasn’t this been a long standing top priority for the city?
