I simply think that industrial, commuter, recreational/leisure, and residential traffic shouldn't share the same infrastructure as they have drastically different needs and priorities.

I also wish cities would consider this for tourism. There is enough in Indianapolis to entertain my family for a weekend, but we have to drive through/around Chicago to get there. St. Louis is accessible by train, but it takes longer than driving. But we’ve done multiple trips to Chicago!
