Astonishingly this fake Dr. Who isn't a result of an AI prompt by Ian Levine.

A truly unsettling watch, and one of the microgenre of "Faux documentary horror" rather than found footage, as it offers more options for storytelling and ways to convey the plot.

so AI is supposed to revolutionize every single aspect of the reality as we know it, but it's something we shouldn't rely on for anything serious or important cause it's so fucking unreliable, do I get that right my dude ?

I'm struck again today by how amazing it is that Terry Pratchett created an equivalent of RIP without any religious connotation and with wider application. To get the full weight of it you need to read Going Postal, but GNU effectively means: share their name forever. GNU Terry Pratchett.

Deeper Cut: Spirits of Bigotry Past & Present: H. P. Lovecraft & J. K. Rowling
The main points of concern for the journalists seem to be the same as those of the bloggers; first and foremost they feel the need to express that Rowling is wrong and transphobic, but they also wa…

A repost for the BBC Video Tom Baker-starring "Video Tasties" trailer because it's a lovely little promo, because it demonstrates what an eccentric bunch of selections the early BBC Video releases were, but mostly because it's a slice of prime boggle-eyed Tom you won't find anywhere else.

Got the careers of a tonne more classic filmmakers started. Directed the first feature film Lovecraft and Brian Aldiss adaptations. Got a whole extra wave of US made Gothics going in the 60s. Made a film in two days that was then remade as a cult musical. That's just a fraction of his achievements!

I've written and co-edited a whole stack of film crit books since 2011, with two more coming this year. If the intersection of genre (especially horror and exploitation) and genre is of interest, gee whiz do I have the books for you 💜

Again - BlueSky was originally Jack Dorsey’s pet project to make a Web3 social media / NFT trading post until a bunch of trans furries got ahold of invite codes and started mass-proliferating them to other trans furries and then suddenly BlueSky was 90% queers and annoying leftists and Jack fled.
