Last night despite having plenty of discs to watch, I rewatched #JamesBond Dr. No. Quite a comfort watch with some great early 60s design aesthetic. Govt radio room women seem to have make up more of the 50s to my untrained eye. The story is methodical but you'd never the end from the starting point

The story is just a skeleton frame for all the fun, a celebration of old faces, classic monsters and Terrance Dicks throwing in as many references he can that his avid Target readers would appreciate. I'd only seen the Five Faces repeats and a couple more old stories but it was perfect for me. 2/2

14/6/26 #DoctorWho rewatch The Five Doctors. This story is best enjoyed if you have some knowledge of the series its celebrating. Some people have suggested it as an introduction to the classic series which robs it of context and makes it look like a basic runaround. However... 1/2

13/6/26 #DoctorWho rewatch Enlightenment Part Four / The King's Demons. Black Guardian trilogy ends well but it could have done with a little more clarity on when the Doctor realised about Turlough. Demons probably has most sudden end of 80s 2-parters but its entertaining enough for mad Master plan.
