The day after war was declared in 1939, Citizens Advice was set up to help advise people on rations, evacuations, national service and a range of wartime concerns. 86 years later and we're still helping people to find a way forward - whoever they are and whatever their problem π

Iβm curious what government agencies are doing to support the staff theyβve tasked with running their accounts on X, who now risk seeing abusive materials and CSAM in the course of their work. (I previously headed up social for Dep Int Trade, if I still was I would refuse to make my team do this)

The tidal causeway to Lindisfarne / Holy Island on the Northumberland coast will see longer periods of inundation. By the mid-21st century, the island may be cut off for 20 hours a day rather than the current twelve.

Reminder for all UK dual nationals: As of the 25 Feb 2026, dual nationals will not be able to travel to the UK on their 'other' passport. If, for example, you or your dual citizen children live abroad & currently don't hold a UK passport, you need to get one (for them) in order to re-enter the UK.
