This is bad on so many levels, and reflects just how "normalised" and "mainstreamed" far right, racist, ideology has become. The lesson for politicians here must not be to pander to them, but to ensure they are combatting and challenging their hateful and divisive rhetoric.

I have lived here 17 years, and have had a partner from a visible minority for near 15 of those. We are very privileged to have been in a very leafy London neighbourhood for 11 years, and he's reached the age where we're a little less worried about police stops (sad state of affair in itself).
