The Declaration of Independence specifies 27 grievances with King George III and Britain. Donald Trump and his regime have committed at least 20 of those same offenses highlighted in yellow.

/2 The Roberts Court 6-3 majority is best understood not as a genuine or legitimate independent adjudicatory body but as a ceremonial adjunct to the Trump government, like a First Lady or a second-born prince in a constitutional monarchy.

I think it would be a huge public service if major media outlets interviewed people given RIF notices and let them explain in detail what their jobs are so that people can judge for themselves whether these positions are wasteful like Trump and Vought claim or whether they help the country prosper.

I like this. Since under RFK Jr, Covid shots are now for people with underlying conditions that put them at risk, Michigan’s chief medical executive Dr. Natasha Bagdasarian states that not having the most recent Covid shot constitutes such an underlying condition.

This isn't just a case of them thinking too small. The fix they're proposing will shield their Republican colleagues from facing any blowback in the midterms over the health care cuts they voted for. They've got one card to play and they're using it to bail out the GOP. Unfuckingbelievable.

When it comes to crime, I think a gunmen murdering two children in a Minneapolis church is more concerning than a nanny taking kids to a playground in Los Angeles or a homeless person laying on a bench in DC. Sorry to get so partisan, but that's how I feel.

These two things cannot both be true: 1: throwing a sandwich at a federal officer is a violent assault worthy of prosecution. 2: raiding the Capitol grounds, assaulting police offices & vandalizing federal property in an effort to interfere with an election is a harmless protest worthy of pardons.

I brought my family to NYC to see the theater district. The first thing I saw when I exited the subway was a band of radicals plotting to overthrow the lawful government and killing a man in a duel. So forgive me if I doubt that crime is down.

The GOP (and MSM pundits) made a multi-year industry out of HRC's *once* using term "deplorables." Now we have Trump constantly saying judges, legislators, writers, etc who disagree w him are "evil," and trying to cope with Epstein revelations. And coverage will be nothing like "deplorables."

Trump 2017: "It is my pleasure and my honor to announce my nomination of Jerome Powell." Trump today: "He's a terrible Fed chair. I was surprised he was appointed. I was surprised frankly that Biden put him in and extended him." Every news story will include both clips, right?

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

I still can't get past the idea that people in America are now supposed to accept that this is a valid form of law enforcement and just assume it's fine when random dudes in groups with face-coverings, no ID, no warrant, & no uniform grab people off the street and force them into unmarked vehicles
