A few years after building a drawing desk with a permanent slant, I finally added a lip to keep pens and pages from sliding off. (I was worried it was stymie my arm which I drag while drawing, but I use the desk with a lip recently and it didn't bother me at all, so here's hoping)

I love the look of this era of comic covers. The tear in the corner just adds to its authenticity.

Sometimes even just the smallest compliment about what you're doing on a daily basis can make a tremendous difference. I got out of bed this morning because someone said they liked something I wrote.

There's a lot to be said about people having no regard for other people's stress levels. I like to think I'm always thinking about whether something I do will stress someone out, but it's rarely reciprocated.
