Laurence is a hugely creative and exciting designer, and I can't wait to get my hands on this. Genuinely a really strange and compelling thing that should appeal to anyone with an interest in the odd or in mysteries.

Incredibly sad to hear that John Blanche has passed away. I didn't know John well, but he was always incredibly generous, helped me several times in ways I will treasure forever, and was of course an incredible inspiration artistically. What a legend. His spirit will be felt long into the future.

Another day of reviewing the UKGE haul! Rosewood Abbey by @rolistespod.itch.io is an absolutely lovely little RPG which gives huge Name of the Rose and Cadfael vibes. I'm delighted by a number of things about this, from the small form factor to the excellent if minimal art.

It was an absolute delight to do this interview with @spruesandbrews.bsky.social and I can't wait to see their future coverage.

A colleague recently said to me "Games design is fundamentally a blue collar industry" and it's led me to reflect on the gulf that is seen to exist between "artistic design" and "commercial design". It strikes me that it feels like the same false dichotomy as exists between commercial and fine art.

I'm extremely tempted to run a star wars RPG now. I think we saw more places people actually live in Andor than in all other canon material combined. They went grocery shopping! We saw what fashion was like on different worlds! This is the stuff that makes a fictional setting IMO.
