Our streets should be designed to put cars in body shops, not people in body bags. Yet these signs wouldn’t damage a car one iota and are designed to be hit. Why are we prioritizing the protection of private property in public spaces over human lives?

I had a fantastic walk and conversation with new Greenways for Nashville Ex Director Meg Morgan just last week. I'm excited and inspired about the passion, experience, and leadership she will bring to that organization. Nashville deserves great greenways, and the future looks promising.

Cheers to

for perfectly describing Nashville's BS and non-committal approach to building out cycling and multimodal facilities in the downtown core and throughout Davidson County. We need our leaders to lead, instead of finding excuses like they so often do. Timestamped 🔗

Rode around this weekend documenting public bike racks in East/Donelson. Dan Mills asked BPAC/NDOT and got a huge upgrade after parents started a bike bus. Every other schools’ bike rack was sad. All of this came as no surprise, but needs to be better. (Inglewood, Hermitage, & Dan Mills Elem 📷)

100% true. I know the people, places, and even pets in my neighborhood and along my commute, because at biking speeds you can observe and make little connections. I really like that.

Anyone around Nashville have a XS bike they’re looking to get out of a garage? My niece is 4’9 and growing, and needs to move up to something with 26” wheels. Primarily for riding greenways, to school, etc. Thanks!

I agree with your 8yo, and would like to see your leadership put money and political will towards making it a safe reality. Not one mile of protected bike lanes built in 2025, and buffered bike lanes torn out! Promised mobility lanes from Connect Downtown still unbuilt! Let's make 2026 the year!

The sponsor keeps saying this won’t ban e-bikes but it WILL allow cities or TDOT to restrict e-bikes on any street they decide it’s necessary. Meanwhile, a separate bill passed that stripped local authority to restrict delivery robots on bike lanes + sidewalks More rights for robots than e-bikers

Nashville bicycling experience of the day: nearly getting hit by this speeding driver minutes after dropping off my 4-year-old while trying to navigate around a sidewalk and bikeway closure with no active permit and no safe detour. This is why you don't block bike lanes.

911 Nashville is so far fetched: - driver who hits cyclist while using his phone stops and instantly admits guilt - cyclist takes her dying breath to forgive the driver - it is implied that the driver will actually be going away to prison Lol this show is so bad but I can’t help myself. 🫣
