Open Table Nashville, who is out every night on these bitter cold nights giving rides and supplies to folks sleeping outside, ran out of sleeping bags last night. Things are very tight for everyone around the holidays but even $5 hand warmers make a direct impact in keeping a neighbor warm.

I thought for sure we’d have shovels in the ground on Main Street bus lanes 2 years in I expected permanent bus priority somewhere in downtown halfway through his first term I’ve seen so many plans for bike lane expansion in downtown but I see no implementation of downtown bike lanes, just removal

A specific answer is that there are 1,700+ miles of new sidewalk needs in Nashville outside CHYM corridors that dedicated revenue legally cannot be spent on. And we won't make a dent in it with that level of funding, especially subtracting ADA and maintenance needs for existing sidewalks.

I asked that exact question at BPAC last week and was told that CHYM funding was intended to be on top of existing funding:

earnestly think it would be better for the sport if hits like the one that Ituka took were illegal. in rugby that type of contact above the shoulders is a red card and a suspension. need better protection for players.

TDOT has reopened their NEPA public comment period for the I-24 Choice Lanes project which will impact our neighborhood. NEPA is a procedural law that guides agency decision making. It can be confusing! I’ll be helping demystify the process for our neighbors. Join us!

A growing coalition is calling on WeGo to freeze fares during the lapse in SNAP benefits. Riders shouldn’t have to choose between going to the food bank and going to a Metro agency to get a bus pass. Let’s make transit a lifeline, not a burden. Add your name or org:

i am totally fine but i was run into by a driver at 8th and Demonbreun today during the ped only phase due in large part to the fact that the intersection is still not properly signed (no signs restricting right on red)

In talking with many of my D16 neighbors, may of us want the same things for our community. I hope folks will set aside their issues with our council member and give this a listen with an open mind.
