Speaking of West End, just got this. “As a part of our West End BAT project, NDOT and WeGo are performing a test run in the outside lanes along West End Blvd between 17th and 25th from 4pm-6pm on Monday June 22nd. Parking in the outside lanes during this time will be closed off.”

This is incredibly disappointing, and an effort that would be very easy for the city to collaborate in. Nevertheless, the bench building and the love of all our neighbors goes on!

The rate in which things will must be done for the Super Bowl only favors developers who will be pressed by the time constraint, and provide them an excuse to ignore local Nashvillians calls of how they want our new neighborhood to be. As always, it will favor a few to the detriment of many.

Traffic calming seems pretty good. We should do more of it. Maybe stop relying on consultants and do it all internally.

Prior to East End's traffic calming installation, we averaged a crash every 57 days, a car damaged every 29 days, and one injury every 365 days. Since installation, we've had one crash every 286 days (80% reduction), one car damaged every 95 days (70% reduction), and no injuries (100% reduction).
