I biked to Geodis in the rain! lol Turns out
@kingofthewink.bsky.social
has sick seats. Thank you! Only a golf cart with their headlights off driving right at me on Fatherland and a fire department SUV California stopping and turning in front of me at 3rd and Peabody caused any concern.

What can we do to raise more mid block crosswalks in this city? Seems like low hanging fruit but I guess Metro Water has to do a damn study or something for every one.

I also learned this evening that the city has moved $8 million in surplus dollars that had been allocated for NDOT/Vision Zero to elsewhere. Currently Vision Zero has ~$12 million remaining, with $5 million being allocated to Gallatin/Main. Projects with completed engineering will go unfunded.

This was the first I’d seen of these plans. Extraordinarily disappointed. I don’t see how we can pitch people on incrementalism when this is the result.

Nashville could rapidly accelerate building world-class BRT on Murfreesboro Pike ahead of the Super Bowl. Instead, the state is blocking airport BRT to favor of a low-capacity tesla tunnel promised by a serial liar.

Question for 🦞: I’m operating
@cycling.city
right now out of my own pocket. I’m happy to be in a place where I’m not concerned with driving revenue. It’s an LLC, taxes paid, licensed, etc., but no one will insure it because of no revenue. I’d even happily cover my premium out of pocket. 1/2
