She’s going to cyber bully an entire transit agency into free fares and frankly, it will be their fault. One video of the inefficiencies of various departments trying do this on their own in complex and different ways and it’s over.

There are two reasons I see this being the case. I understand both. 1) Capacity issues. Totally get it. Probably a need for more people power to coordinate logistics. 2) The other is the folks who could do this centrally don't want to. I get it, I'm tired too. The solution to both is fare-free.

With Choose How You Move funds paying for the fares, there is no financial reason not to set the income levels as high as possible. Fare revenue will not drop. It will simply be subsidized by a different funding source.

Shortly after Dot Dobbins was killed crossing 3rd Ave, a traffic signal was installed at Van Buren and 3rd. The Vision Zero committee expressed concerns when this was presented during the fatal crash review in July, but it was installed anyway. Since, another pedestrian has been hit here 1/
