Oh fuck we're doing *this* again. The SAT is an imperfect metric. We really shouldn't be deciding admissions via rank-ordering of anything, even SAT scores. It is, however, much less prone to manipulation by the rich and privileged than just about any other admissions method.

I sometimes think about the fact that the only consequences Trump faced from Jan 6th were having accounts suspended by banks and social media apps. Which he subsequently has sued or otherwise punished while pardoning all of the insurrectionists. This is how I feel every time I recall that.
