After seeing the headline "SpaceX IPO: How to Buy and Why You Shouldn't" on @barrons.com, I decided it was time to read the prospectus. I'm only a few pages in and folks... the implications of this document ... Do you want to go on a journey with me? Because I'm about to enter the rabbit hole.

So what do we do? Friends don't let friends buy SpaceX stock. We ask for mutual funds that don't include AI companies (if we're lucky enough to have 401K or 403b accounts). And we ask, "Did you look at the numbers?" There is a disconnect on "do your own research" that has me confused.

I'm going to stop looking at this IPO document. As a planet, we can't afford for them to do what they want to do. The data centers in space, the mega constellations, temporary internet satellites, 1000 Starships to Mars... this adds up to a depletion of Earth's resources & atmospheric harms.

So, um, if I understand this, they want to do 10-20 thousand starship launches per year using a significant % of US LNG production, a noticeable amount of steel production, & OMG PLS NO amounts of rare earth minerals. Do I think they'll succeed? no Can our planet survive if they do? Also, no
