The president just gathered the highest ranking officers in the military to tell them that he may order them to kill American citizens -- and that they better follow his orders. All in response to a series of crises that have no basis in reality. I don't know how to yell any louder.

This whole MedBed thing is super crazy but...it occurs to me that Trump is now using AI videos of himself to make himself sound fluent. On top of everything else, it's super alarming the WH is trying to normalize AI videos of the prez as a substitute for the actual president saying actual words.

Trump just ordered the military into Portland, and he’s giving them the green light to use lethal force on American citizens. Authoritarianism is an abstract concept but Trump is making its impacts real and tangible. Let’s be real about it: This is the beginning of dictatorship in America.

The problem isn’t with the President, it’s with Congress. Not that the President is doing good things here, but that we have a Constitutional structure to deal with an overreaching Executive. We don’t have any way of dealing with a Legislative branch that’s determined to become irrelevant.

Anyone who votes to end birthright citizenship as it is understood now, in defiance of clear law and the tradition they claim to value? They are voting to create a permanent underclass of rightness, stateless people in the United States. They are voting to bring back slavery.

It looks like Trump's hand picked Supreme Court isn't going to stop him from rescinding money that Congress already agreed to use. How can Democrats agree to a Republican budget that lets Trump delete the parts of it he doesn't like?

A pattern is developing where everyone who fights back against a Trump attack inevitably wins with their reputation much better than before, and everyone who caves to him looks like shit and has Trump coming back for more a month later.
