Lowest temperature of the winter through February 3rd using ERA5-Land reanalysis (~9km resolution). Don't @ me saying your local station was different. This is a ballpark estimate.

The Lower 48 is now 2.9F above normal for the month-to-date. A departure of +2.9F would be the 12th warmest February on record if it ended today. 🔥

Winter Olympic athletes juggle the mental load of large carbon footprints that contribute to a warmer world & loss of snow, with a love of their sport, mountains & representing their nation. Hence more are speaking out on the need to move away from fossil fuels.

Another cold spell in the CARIBBEAN Exceptional low minimum at Wade Int. AP BERMUDA with 6.6C. This would be a new all time low for the Airport (previous: 6.7C in 1950), since a 6.3C in Feb 1993 is likely a wrong data.
