27th June 2026 Trip through the fog into Melbourne for Clyve’s 6 year old granddaughter’s birthday and to catch up with his 18 year old granddaughter for the first time in years. Train and tram rides. Then off to buy a new battery for the car on the way home through the misty, smoky winter arvo.

26th June 2026 Took a friend out to celebrate her 80th birthday today at the Kyneton RSL. Our favourite table in the winter sun and great food!!

22nd June 2026 Took a friend up to pick up her Ute from the local train station. The local crows weren’t happy about that!!

18th June 2026 Sunset in LA as we head home to Australia after chasing storms in the US for the last couple of months. There won’t be an update for the 19th because we lose the day on the way across the Pacific.

18th June 2026 Santa Monica. Our last day in the USA each year is spent down on the pier, which is also one end of America’s Route 66.

21st May 2026 Today’s stormchase from near Kim in Colorado to Elkhart in Kansas. The line of storms then followed us to Perryton in Texas.

20th May 2026 Today was a repositioning day down to the northern Texas Panhandle ready for tomorrow northwest of here. Grabbed coffee and scone from a great little coffee shop in Pratt on the way. Avoided the traffic jam just out of Minneola. Open roads. Not much traffic the way we went.

18th May 2026 Today was split between chasing a couple of storms up west of Minneapolis, KS with every other chaser who was awake today, then on the way down south to sample the storms coming up from the southwest, we played tourist as we passed through Marquette, KS. Storm at the hotel to finish.

From our vantage point we saw this tornado develop to our southwest and become intense very quickly before being wrapped up in its mesocyclone surrounded by rain and dust. West of Central City, Nebraska. 17th May 2026. Not for media use.

16th May 2026 Tail end of a tornadic supercell near Goodland, KS then dust at Oakley, then an amazing lightning show!!

15th May 2026 We chased a couple of enthusiastic storms in SE Nebraska.

Fire starter storms. Lightning started multiple fires in SW Kansas. There is a trail of fires at least 60 miles long from these storms. 14th May 2026

13th May 2026 Finally finished the tasks we had set ourselves for completion in May, had morning tea (Panera), tripped over Brandon Ivey and his tour guests, and wandered west to Pratt to set up for storms tomorrow.
