Basically Trump is threatening to sanction NATO unless NATO commits suicide. And people still think he might sanction Russia. He is doing Putin’s work.

I could not agree more. The actions of this man that still behaves like he is on a TV show may have real and deadly consequences. Americans may not care about the rest of the world, but the consequences of his actions are for all to suffer.

He seems to be running a bit ahead of himself. he assumes here that he will be leading a free Iran and decides about it's foreign policy. So basically he is trying to get the west behind him, so they install him up to lead Iran.

To put this more bluntly, Europe has largely outsourced its foreign policy to America since WWII. This has created the illusion within the EU that foreign policy remains a national “competency.” It’s not. So if Europe wants a bigger voice it needs to speak as Europe.
