I am currently on ID consult service. I saw my first severe case of post influenza staphylococcal pneumonia of the season today - very sick patient admitted to the ICU. Every patient I have seen so far admitted with influenza this week is unvaccinated. The vaccines keep you out of hospital! Get 💉💉💉

~40% of Hepatitis B infections are caught in childhood. It is contagious enough that it can be spread just from sharing common household objects. The chance of chronic infection (ie does not clear, and is associated with high rates of liver failure and cancer) ranges from 50%-90% in this age group.
