Thanks. I don't hate the series (love Pike, Number One (Majel), 'shaggy' Spock, Talosians) but it's hard for me to enjoy the art. It would be fun to draw 1 issue of every series I drew 'back in the day' to demonstrate the difference (Trek, Vampirella, Green Hornet, New Warriors, T-bolts, etc).

Some advice from someone whose drawn hundreds of comics. Don't stay 'on model' (follow the reference) for supporting characters if the characters are bland. I learned this in hindsight. Too faithful to continuity. Repeating a boring 'look' is compounding a mistake.

Be careful in sharing your art on social media that the most popular reactions don't train you to draw to the most common expectations.

This is an age when comic artists think they need reference for Everything. But nothing feels better (not just aesthetically, but in confidence and loosening you up) than 'winging it' and loving the result.

This month a new book with REH stories translated will be released in my country I think this one is more the historic fictions ones and the only ones they confirmed were Shadow of the vulture,Dark Agnes ones and Cormac FitzGeoffrey. Curious to see this other side of him.

Thank you! Yes, the supernatural is absolutely an element in Solomon Kane. Kane influenced several witch-monster-vampire hunting characters; Van Helsing (Jackman version), Vampire Hunter D, Geralt (Witcher), Hammer's Captain Kronos, the Hellsing anime, and so on.

Yes. We're in a rich era of translation with SO much more still to come. As much as there are gains, I'm still frustrated by acclaimed books in other languages that I can't read because there isn't an English version available.

Think as a reader you should, for several years, cast a wide net. You may land Moby Dick and not care for it. You may think you don't care for it and, to your own surprise, find yourself remembering it, years later, in a positive light. Boasting you've read it. You only know if you cast the net.

Guessing there are about 50,000 really notable books. A dedicated reader, focused on them, in a lifetime can read about 1 out of 10. I suppose I'm saying they're not like Pokemon, you aren't going to catch 'em all. Does this mean don't bother? No. It means appreciate the ones you do read. #BookSky

It is hard. The way I survive it is to love the process, the present moment. Not to count pages, think how much is ahead of me. Not concern myself with the totality of it.

I did learn my way around the the techniques by coloring the sketches. Marvel used the Binary drawing as a cover.

Thank you for asking, Jay. I've only colored about 100 pages so I'm just me, not really leveling up. I started coloring recently, with a strong idea of what I want. Coloring prior to this was just an occasional sketch, for fun. Work for publication is always at a higher level.

Lot of Mamdani think-pieces. None about what the primary attraction is: a feeling that there is more sincerity, a trait that is lacking in so many politicians.

Writing, roughing, inking, coloring? 2 to 3 days. 4 in rare circumstances. Depends on what is in the splash. Single panel splash pages go quicker than multi-panel pages.
