The crackdowns are intensifying. The Maduro regime remains in power, with Delcy Rodríguez in command. This was never about democracy or protecting the people of Venezuela. They continue to live in danger and fear while Trump cuts deals with the regime to seize their oil.

A white mother and U.S. citizen being shot and killed is not what they were sold, and it is a breaking point for many. That does not, in any way, mean the other actions are not also important and indefensible, but it is a line *for those in the movement* that they thought would not be crossed.

The response to the ICE killing of Renee Nicole Good is not what the White House was expecting. Like with their hiding of the Epstein files, part of the fundamental problem they are facing is that the stories the Trump administration has built their movement on are being shown for their emptiness.

And, yes, of course, there are people within the movement that are fine with or even support this. That is true. But, with each indefensible move by the Trump admin, they lose some support. And, due to the story *they* sold, the Epstein files and Good's killing have loomed largest in eroding that.
