This is the type of person who supports the GOP’s deceptively named “Save America Act,” which does a lot more than require a simple Voter ID. Proceed accordingly.

My senators from California need no reminder of what they already know, thank goodness. So I will focus on asking them to ensure that their colleagues on both side sides of the aisle clearly understand that if this measure becomes law, there will be no way to stop the national revolt that follows.

Rs wld still let you vote if you get/have a passport (which is expensive) OR if you get/have a certified birth certificate that matches your current approved form of ID (but these 2 documents *don’t* match for 69 million married women, & Rs *don’t* include marriage certs as approved documentation.)

As before, marriage certificates are *not* included, effectively disenfranchising many of the 69M women whose last names don’t match their birth certificates (not an issue for those with passports or EDLs that do match)

I can attest to this. I have a real ID. A real ID proves you are documented. Like for example my real ID expires exactly the day my visa expires. But is not a proof of citizenship.
