NEW: Britainās fiercest libel firm, Carter-Ruck, acted for the $4bn OneCoin fraud and threatened its critics. Now theyāre being prosecuted at the SDT. Their response? An anonymity order to cover it up. But Carter-Ruck just lost that order - and it's all coming out. Thread

As someone who is in contact with dozens of different non-citizens every day, I can anecdotally confirm that all of the documented people I know are living with some degree of anxiety and all of the undocumented (& their families) are living in some degree of terror. Please support where you can

Gonna take this opportunity to bust a bit of a myth about the mobile phone network during 7/7. The wider London phone network never went down. The Security Services, TfL and the Met Police all wanted it up. But it DID go down briefly in the Square Mile. Due to a C&C issue nobody had spotted. /1

One other 7/7 thread today. Because I think how the bus network got running again is a real testament to some serious heroes that day: The bus drivers and staff who got that network running again and got London home that night. And TfL/the Mayor disobeyed the Security Services to make it happen /1

š§µ Thereās a thread going around misrepresenting my work and Bellingcatās education strategy. I want to use this as an opportunity to explain what weāre actually doingāand why it matters. This is about truth, democracy, and how we build a more resilient society.

Trump asked today, why didnāt Ukraine fight back in Crimea in 2014? As I wrote in my book, The War Came To Us, Ukraineās decision to not fight against Russiaās invasion was largely influenced by behind-the-scenes pressure from the US. Hereās what then-interim President Oleksandr Turchynov told me:

An amazing piece of Roman military history! The only complete surviving Roman scutum (shield) used by legionaries. Wood, leather, bronze edge binding. AD 200s. From the garrison at Dura-Europos on Romeās eastern frontier which fell to the Sasanians in AD 256. š· me

Cary Grant looking impeccable at 55 in NBN, in an action movie requiring lots of running, in an era when male film stars of his age were physical wrecks after decades of hard partying and smoking (see Bogart) Legend.
