Okay, KPop Demon Hunters is genuinely brilliant, independently of your interest in kpop, demons, or the hunting thereof. The animation is genius, the script is a masterclass in concise storytelling, the lyrics are Miranda levels of inspired, and the music always does exactly what it needs to do.

I would strongly encourage my cis friends to read these. I am not exaggerating when I say the last ~6 months or so has been an endless cycle of watching things become materially worse/more harmful every week or so and just having to go to work or whatever and go make small talk.

hey, cis folks! this is monstrous & it’s only going to get more common & if you remember 2020 when white moms stood between cops & black protestors that’s probably what it’ll take in some cases for trans people to survive using a public bathroom in the same shape they went in. i hope you will.

It’s important to remember cisgender women getting hurt by this is a feature not a bug as it both makes trans women fearful of existing in public and signals to cis women how they must act to be protected by the state.
