I don't think I know many people who spend more time thinking and writing deliberately about a single cube than my dear buddy @deinonychus9.bsky.social. This article of his he's worked on for a year, and I highly recommend it. At my California event he mentions, this cube was the number one pick!

Day two of Cali Cube Champs today! Another round of main event and then we head to top 8/ the other 112 people get to play a fourth for fun draft. We had 119 butts in seats for draft one yesterday, and 120 for draft two when I hopped in, a full 15 pods of 8!

Had a great time with friends playing two cubes, and having Ice Cream, Bruschetta, and Pesto tonight. I played a very tiny cube on its inaugural run and had a great time.

Had cake and two cubes tonight to celebrate one of our drafters birthdays and say goodbye to another as they go home for the end of the semester. A delightful time out here in Santa Rosa with lovely people who are always happy to have others come and join us!

Visiting Chicago and I have a few impressions: It's LOUD. Like dang I think everywhere I've been had been louder than DC, Seattle, LA or SF. Y'all got way taller buildings than us West Coast earthquake ppl. Food and people are good. Also the alcohol is insanely generous for the price thus I am drunk

The fact that the "Joe" card is not only an aggro creature, but one that got an alchemy rebalance is perfectly on brand for me

I played my Cube tonight with nine people. One was brand new to it, 2 of them have been playing it with me since the very first draft, 200+ drafts ago. Had an amazing time going 1-2. Made me happier than anything else has for a month. The cube is perfect, no notes, per my drafters unanimous feedback

Me and my first commander (magic turned me gay) Legit, I started playing magic only because I had already gotten a girlfriend, then I ended up happily Gay married to him half a decade later with a ton of support from various LGBT allies and friends I made from magic as he transitioned.
