if I’m Picard, right now I’m feeling super nervous about how Jessica Rabbit and Beast are both looking at me, and how everybody else in the picture seems to be intently watching whatever is about to happen

Bambi terminator Shaq has so much going on, but I just want to note how important it is to me that Madonna used Marilyn’s Some Like It Hot character name as her alias.

THERAPIST: Bambi Terminator Shaq isn't real. ME: But... but he... THERAPIST: He can't hurt you, and nobody would even dare draw such an absurd thing. ME: But doc, you gotta understand— THERAPIST: {single eye glowing red, ears suspiciously twitching} I said, drop it

Instant Proust’s madeleine moment. I’m thinking of interviews with Urkel. I’m thinking about Chip n’ Dale’s Rescue Rangers. The 21st century hasn’t happened yet.

btw this "Pirates" feature mentioned on the cover wasn't a tie-in to the Hook movie, or the PotC ride, or a game or brand or anything. They just published a 22-page section about pirates (including an 8-page comic by Bill Messner-Loebs and Tom Mandrake) because kids love pirates.

I had a coworker once who told me that when he was a kid, he read Darkwing Duck as being Black (my coworker was also Black). I asked him if he remembered why and he said, "Because he had so much style".
