this is a vibes-based analysis but IMO Britain is a “wait for permission”-ass country spiritually and transition is such an “I don’t need your permission”-ass activity that some of my countryfolk are just like oh gosh oh dear oh crumbs whatever will the neighbours think

I spoke to a local women’s Institute yesterday about the history of witches. I was in two minds about whether to go ahead given the behaviour of the organisation, but in fact, it turned out that many individuals wanted to tell me that they disapproved strongly of the stance taken by leadership.

The darts thing has really depressed me. It’s ridiculous. How can anyone seriously think it’s reasonable? It’s worse knowing that the ultimate goal of these bigots isn’t sports, it’s just cutting us out of society and any avenue for camaraderie with other women.

It would be laughable how bad the reasons are that the bigots cook up for “justifying” these bans if it wasn’t so depressing. I hope Noa-Lynn has the support she needs and, after taking time, sues the hell out of the PDC in the European courts.

As a trans woman, all I want most days is to be less visible, less “political” and less of a problem to be solved. But a bright spot is knowing that when we are visible, we let others see that it is possible to survive, make it through the mire and just *be*. Happy Trans Day of Visibility. 🏳️‍⚧️
